Fall California Garden Wedding at Ruth Bancroft in Walnut Creek
This fall Bay Area wedding had pops of burgundy, set against the rich backdrop of The Ruth Bancroft Garden, filled with over 2000 succulents and cactus plants, a true California garden wedding!

Brianna and Kevin met while working at a hospital in California. At the time, Kevin was a surgical intern and Brianna was a third year medical student. They knew there was a spark between them, but didn’t actually start dating until a few months after meeting, when they happened to match on a dating site! The two supported each other through the ups and downs of medical training, and Kevin is now a neurosurgeon, and Brianna is an infectious disease physician. Walnut Creek is Brianna’s hometown, so the stunning Ruth Bancroft Gardens was a natural choice to host their wedding.

The Ruth Bancroft Garden is 3.5 acres and has different options for ceremony and reception locations. The couple chose the historic gazebo was a one-of-a-kind ceremony backdrop— feeling a bit Parisian!

These two clearly had wonderful chemistry and knew how to have fun together! They also told me that having an engagement session really helped give them some practice for being in front of the camera and feeling more at ease.

The newly renovated Great Room can hold a dinner reception, and its veranda is perfect for outdoor dancing! There’s also a fire pit to keep things cozy.
